As it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived." The things God has prepared for those who love him—these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. --Ask Ruby?

My Mentor:
Mr. Smith provided- Mentoring that consisted of a long-term relationship focusing on and supporting the growth and development of me as a role model in the community we served. Mr. Smith was a source of wisdom, teaching, and support,as his organization, The Beulah A. G. Smith (BAG'S ) Foundation, staff volunteered to teach youths at the Thurgood Marshall Branch Library and The Brainerd Branch Library for over 20 years dance, chess, and reading. Mr. Smith foundations also donated personal computers to the families of children who participated in the foundation reading programs, BAG'S of Books Reading Challenge each years. The Beulah A. G. Smith (BAG'S ) Foundation, under the leadership of Mr. Smith sponsored all of the Thurgood Marshall Branch Library and The Brainerd Branch Library community programs for children.
My Friend:
Mr. Smith was a friend who was there to celebrate when I achieved a major milestone, to sympathize when I was going through rough patches in the workplace, and to give advice when I was struggling with difficult decisions in the workplace. Mr. Smith was a friend that many dream of in a natural sense and a mentor who was there to listen and advise me in a professional sense as well.
My Role Model:
Mr. Smith was my role model: We both appeared to have come from the same roots or spiritual state of mind. Mr. Smith was a kindle spirit whom I could count on throughout all time. In his truest sense he loved the children at the Brainerd Branch Library and The Children at The Thurgood Marshall Branch Library, and he loved the community he served and supporting the youth in the community teaching the importance of farming and gardening and actually creating a community garden. Mr. Smith was one mentor/role model who never missed an opportunity to teach, share, restore hope to the children, any adult, youth, teen and any child who wanted to learn Mr. Smith would advise, support, and teach. Mr. Smith knew the adult, youth, teen and any child was not perfect and together he and the adult, youth, teen and any child did what was needed to improve and reach their life goals if they kept showing up. Mr. Smith, was family to all whom life he touched and oh, the numerous lives he touch with just a laugh and a smile, you knew you were welcomed into the Smith family. My relationship and connection with him was based on professional kinship, mutual love, respect and consideration. Mr. Smith , walked with me, talked with me, advised me, for over 20 years and I today express my sincere love and gratitude to have him as My Mentor, Role Model, and Friend.
The Broken Chain
by Unknown
We little knew that morning
God was to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our friendship chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.“THE COMFORT OF HAVING A FRIEND MAY BE TAKEN AWAY, BUT NOT THAT OF HAVING HAD ONE.”
